Check your purchase year against the spare-part availability end-year. If within the window, the manufacturer must supply parts to professional repairers. Cite Article 5 and Annex II.
Manufacturer refuses info request
Under Article 6, manufacturers must provide repair information within 15 working days of request. Document your request and cite the directive.
Parts available but at insane price
The directive does not cap spare-part prices. However, national unfair-contract and consumer-protection laws may apply. Check your national portal.
Bought used or refurbished
Rights follow the product, not the purchaser. Use the original purchase year if known; otherwise use the manufacture year. The directive applies to products placed on the market from 2021.
